The idea of celebrity...

** Note: this post does not contain any spoilers...

Welcome to the World, Baby Girl...how far are you in the book?

This novel touches on the idea of "celebrity" in America.

Discussion question for this week - please comment with your answer:

  1. Is celebrity something you would want for yourself?  Why or why not?

I have heard that some of you have already finished our first book!  If you are looking for a filler book while you wait for our next book announcement...this book is the sequel to Welcome to the World, Baby Girl.  I just finished it and enjoyed learning more about the characters introduced in the first book.

  • I would never want to be a celebrity. I do not do anything wanting attention for myself. In fact, I am uncomfortable if anyone announces that I have or plan to do anything. Part of this is that I am naturally very shy.

  • Absolutely not! I like my quiet life living in the country and enjoying the simple things. I don’t want to have to be “on” all of the time. I want to be able to sit back and enjoy the scent of the air, the sounds of the birds, and all the beauty around me instead of having people chasing after me or pining for a moment of my time.

  • I finished listening to the audio book last night. I didn’t intend to finish it, but I got caught up in it. I really enjoyed it & was surprised towards the end. I wish it hadn’t ended…I enjoyed it so much.
