About Us

Welcome to Happy Little Stitch Shop!  My name is Angela and I am the owner of this happy little family company.  Let me tell you a little about us and our journey so far...

When my husband Mike and I married a couple decades ago, we never imagined how our family would take shape.  Little did we know what was to come!  After 7 years of marriage, we were blessed with our first child...a daughter!  We were thrilled!  Fifteen months later we found out we were expecting again.  We were ecstatic!  Only this time we learned we were expecting quadruplets.  To say we were shocked is an understatement.  My husband became mute and I was in tears worrying about what was to come.  A few short months later our babies were born severely premature.  We had four beautiful babies - three boys and a girl, but a long road ahead.  We were in the NICU for four months and it was a very emotional and trying time.  Thankfully, we were able to bring our kiddos home at the end of our stay and they are all thriving and doing well today.  Fast forward ten years and we were shocked to find out we were expecting again!!  So, with a twelve-year-old and 4 ten-year-olds, we welcomed a healthy, full-term baby girl.  It has been a wild ride, but we are thankful every single day for our abundant blessings.

After welcoming our last bundle of joy, I started to sew, quilt, and stitch again.  I first started stitching with my mom when I was a child nearly forty years ago.  I sewed a lot when my older kids were babies, making whatever we needed - a lot of pajamas, bibs, blankets, etc.  This time I started sewing again because I couldn't find bibs that worked as well as the ones I made, but I kept sewing for enjoyment and relaxation.  It became a whole new outlet for me.  The creativity started flowing and I was happy!  I even got my mom stitching again and she is loving it too!  She is enjoying it so much that she decided to join me on this journey.  I am so thankful to go on this adventure with her!

Then I started thinking about my long-envisioned dream of owning my own business.  This dream kept getting set aside because life was in full swing, but this time it seemed possible.  Not probable given our financial situation with a big family, but possible.  I kept dreaming.  And dreaming.  And dreaming.  And now here I am, taking the plunge with my family by my side.  All eight of us (and our little dog Henry) are so excited, humbled, and just plain happy to jump into this dream.  We can't possibly imagine how this endeavor will take shape, but we hope it is another wild ride!
