Here it is! Our FIRST Needle & Prose Book!

I was so excited to connect with you again the other night on our Livestream to reveal our FIRST Needle & Prose Book Lovers Club book!  Thank you so much for joining me and I hope to see you reading along for our first book!

Without further ado....the first book is....

Welcome to the World, Baby Girl! by Fannie Flagg

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.  I will say, it did take me a bit to really get sucked into the book and get the momentum of the story going, but when all the pieces start to come together and the story unfolds...it is really enjoyable.  The characters are delightful with some complexity too.  I was hooked after reading the second section in the book titled "The Neighbor Dorothy Show" and feeling inspired by Neighbor Dorothy!  I will tell you...I laughed, I was intrigued, I cried and I even gasped toward the end of the book.  It's a story you can't stop thinking about when you put the book down.

Why did I pick this book?  Well, there is an underlying theme of community, neighborliness, family, and home that winds its way through the story.  And that resonated with me not only personally, but also through my business.  Happy Little Stitch Shop has grown into a community that I cherish.  Members of our community are commonly part of our family suppertime discussions, we add people to our prayers when they are going through tough times...almost like neighbors from afar.
