October Skies Sew Along by Lori Holt - Month 1 Scarecrows!

March is here!  And with it the kick-off to making this beautiful October Skies quilt by Lori Holt.  This month we will be making these five cute scarecrows!

We will be using the Farm Girl Vintage 2 Quilt Book by Lori Holt.  You can find this quilt on page 136 of that book with instructions from Lori of the blocks that are used in this quilt.

First up is the Mr. Scarecrow Block found on page 99.  We will be making the 12" block.  The pictures below will help you with fabric placement.  We worked on a block or two a week.
