Bee Happy Sew Along - Week 4!!

Phew!! 😅 Just in time!!

Welcome to Week 4 of our Lori Holt Throwback Sew Along for 2022 - Bee Happy!!  Life kind of took control last week and I was not sure I was going to get these blocks done this week!  But I am totally counting this as a win as I got them done just in time! 😅

Please note:  Lori originally did this Sew Along in 2017.  Some of the fabric that she used at that time is no longer available.  Fabrics in your kit were provided based on the Bee Happy Booklet fabric requirements.  As you follow Lori's blog throughout the Sew Along some of the fabrics you see in her pictures may be different than the fabrics that we are using.

Here's our schedule:

This week we are working on these blocks:

  • Truck and Trailer Block
  • Bee Happy Block
  • Churn Dash Blocks

Lori gives all the instructions you need through her blog.  Click HERE for her Week 4 blog post where she provides instruction for the Truck and Trailer block and the Bee Happy Block.  Click HERE for instruction on the Churn Dash blocks.

I will be honest...this week was an uphill climb and it feels so good to have accomplished the goal this week!  I am having a mini dance party in my mind!!  I relied heavily on Lori's blog posts this week - especially for the Bee Happy block.  YOU CAN DO IT!!  🤗

First up...the Truck and Trailer Block:

Next is the Bee Happy Block:

The final four...the Churn Dash Blocks:

And that's a wrap for Week 4!!  These blocks are so darn cute and I hope you are having fun making them!

I have a question for you this week...were you feeling that this week was an uphill climb to complete these blocks?  Let me know in the comments below.

More to come soon!  In the meantime...

  • I’m so far behind. Oh well. Getting ready to start the camper block and the Be Happy block. I’m kind of nervous after reading the comments.

  • This is the week I started falling behind. My sister, nieces, and nephews were here from South Dakota visiting and work has me doing a few samples for our shop Christmas in August sale, so personal quilting has fallen behind. I will get caught up hopefully by next week. 🤞 I did post what I had finished prior to falling behind. I just love looking at the blocks. They are so sweet.

  • I share your sentiment Angela. These blocks were a bit more challenging than previous weeks, but turned out so darn cute.

  • Beautiful! These blocks do look labor intensive! I had to pass on this one but you are making me regret it! I am wrapping up Autumn Love and have Granny’s Garden, Prim and Proper, Vintage Housewife, and Cozy Christmas waiting for me. Next project though is Prairie Meadow!!
