Calico Garden Sew Along - Week 4!!

We are moving right along in our Calico Garden Sew Along with Lori Holt!  This week I put together some cute Rose and Mums blocks!  Am I on the comeback trail?!  I just might be!  I am making progress and loving it along the way!

Our Calico Garden Sew Along is led by Lori Holt through her YouTube Channel and Blog.  It features Lori's newest collection called Calico and it is simply gorgeous!

Happy Little Stitch Shop will host this Sew Along through our blog and weekly Lives.  Regardless of what pace you are sewing at or where you are at in the sew along, we hope you will join in the fun and sew along with us sharing every step of progress along the way!
I will be posting my progress here on our Happy Little Blog.  I will also host Calico Sew Along Lives through our YouTube Channel, share progress on Instagram and in our Happy Little Stitchers Facebook page.

To sew along with us, you will need a Calico Garden Quilt Kit which you can find HERE and the Calico Garden Sew Simple Shapes which you can find HERE.

You will also need the Calico Garden Sew Along Guide which you can find HERE.

Did you know that sometimes Happy Little Stitch Shop hosts Throwback Sew Alongs for previous Lori Holt Sew Alongs that some may have missed.  Do you know what our very first Throwback Sew Along was?  Leave your answer in the comment section and you could win $100 Gift Card to Happy Little Stitch Shop in celebration of reaching 5K Subscribers on our YouTube Channel!  Winner will be announced on St. Patrick's Day!  Are you feeling lucky? 🍀

HERE WE GO - WEEK FOUR!!

Two more beautiful blocks to add to our garden!  They are so pretty!

First up is the Roses block.  I am calling mine the Winter Roses block because we just got a fresh blanket of snow this week while I was making this block.  Aren't those red roses gorgeous again the fresh snow?!

Next up are these beautiful Mums!  I am not sure what happened, but the top leaves ended up being the wrong ons!  🤦‍♀️ I likely read the wrong shape number or something.  In the end I decided to leaf it.  😂 (My apologies, I couldn't resist!)

I followed Lori's instructions on her Week 3 blog post which you can read HERE.

Here they are - teeny tiny leaves and all!!!

I now have eight blocks planted in my garden!  It is so colorful and pretty!  Are you sewing along with us?  How is your garden coming along?

Happy stitching! 🤗

  • The first throwback was Vintage Christmas! I had such a blast completing this quilt with everyone in the HLSS community! It is one of my favorite all time quilts that I’ve done! Thanks for hosting these throwbacks!

  • I just found you about 6 months ago. I have watched some of your older videos and I think your first throw back quilt was Vintage Christmas. I made it when the book first came out just after making Farm Girl Vintage. I use mine on my bed every December.
